According to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, more than 20 studies have shown that women who exercise are at risk of breast cancer are 30 to 40% lower than women who are less active. Moderate exercise reduces the concentration of estrogen in the blood, a type of hormone that can affect the risk of breast cancer. Another study linked 4-hour walk 1 week with the reduction of half the risk of pancreatic cancer. The benefits may involve improved insulin metabolism due to exercise.
