Trailer The Mosquito Coast (1986)

The film tells the story of an idealistic inventor (Harrison Ford) who leaves the United States to build a new life in the jungles of Central America. He and his family move to a fictional jungle village in Honduras, where the inventor is determined to create a utopian community based on self-sufficiency and his own technological innovations.

He built a giant ice machine and tried to introduce modern conveniences to the village. However, his actions put the family at odds with the local culture and environment, leading to tensions and clashes with the villagers. The film explores themes of idealism, the conflict between individualism and community and the consequences of unchecked arrogance.

As tensions rise and challenges pile up, the inventor's family must navigate the complexities of their new life in the woods.
