Daytime Shooting Star (2017) is a Japanese romance and school film, directed by Takehiko Shinjo and scripted by Naoko Adachi. The film is based on the manga of the same name by Mika Yamamori.
The film is about Suzume Yosano (Mei Nagano), a schoolgirl who moves from the countryside to Tokyo to study. The first day she arrived in Tokyo, Suzume got lost and was helped by a man named Satsuki Shishio (Shohei Miura). The person who helped this girl was her homeroom teacher. With her first impressions, she gradually fell in love with her teacher.
Suzume Yosano also makes friends with other students in class, such as Daiki Mamura (Aran Shirahama), a boy who hates women but likes Suzume, or Yuyuka Nekota (Maika Yamamoto), a close friend who loves Daiki. Suzume Yosano faces troubles and difficulties when falling in love with someone older than her and her teacher, such as opposition from family, friends or society. She also has to balance love and studies, as well as choose between Satsuki Shishio and Daiki Mamura.
