I Give My First Love To You (2009) is a Japanese emotional, romantic, and touching film, directed and written by Takehiko Shinjo. The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by author Cuu Ba Dao, telling the love story between Takuma Kakunouchi and Mayu Taneda, two friends since childhood.
The main character Takuma Kakunouchi is an 8-year-old boy with a congenital heart disease. The doctor said he would not live beyond 20 years old.
